Marlee Horwitz joined Fell Law as a law clerk in May 2020. Marlee is a second-year law student at the University of San Diego. She is pursuing her dream of becoming a trial lawyer because she strongly believes it is the best way she can help individuals who have suffered from the wrongdoing of others.
Marlee received her BA in English literature with an emphasis in literary criticism and theory from UC Davis. There, she graduated in three years with honors, was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and was published by the University for an essay exploring the intersection of law and literature.
As a San Diego native, Marlee knew she wanted to return to San Diego to practice law. She was offered the Dean’s Honor Scholarship to attend USD. During her time in law school, Marlee participated in Moot Court (where she was a semi-finalist in the Alumni Torts Tournament), externed for the Honorable William V. Gallo for the Southern District of California, and volunteered with the Pro Bono Legal Advocates to assist rehabilitated citizens expunge their criminal records.
In her free time, you can find Marlee on the tennis court, at the beach, or cheering on the San Diego Padres.
